Angee Tanner is a 1997 graduate of Utah State University. She received a Bachelor’s of History with an emphasis in Secondary Education and Dance Recreational Programing. Angee has had the pleasure of teaching at Box Elder High School, Weber High School, Vista Heights Middle School and Timpanogos High School. She has taught within both the Social Studies Department and the Performing Arts Departments. Some of her very favorite classes to teach are U.S. Studies, World Civilizations, Civics and Performing Arts. Angee has been a lucky recipient of the History Teacher Scholar Award. This award is given by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History each year to thirty notable High School History Teachers within the United States. Angee has a deep love of public education and a commitment to teaching Democracy and Community commitment. She hopes all of her students will come away with a love of the democratic process, engaged in preserving the right to self-government, and understanding the long term influences of American history on those freedoms. When Angee is not reading about history; she can be found in the garden, on the ski slopes, hanging with her family or traveling to new places.

My name is Chartina Voorheis. I have worked in Alpine School District for 17 years and love my job! I have taught Russian, Government and Citizenship, Honors U.S. History, U.S. History, Modern World History, Academic Study, and a service class called MAGIC. I currently teach Ancient World Civilizations for East Shore.

I grew up in South Jordan, Utah. I attended Brigham Young University where I double­-majored in History and Russian. I served an LDS Mission in St. Petersburg, Russia. I earned a Master’s in Education and love to continue to learn. My husband and I have been married for 12 years and enjoy travelling.

Hello! My name is Patrick Tolman. I am the online teacher for the Geography and Government and Citizenship classes here at East Shore. I also teach US History, World Civilizations, Geography and Psychology at Polaris High School. I have been teaching for 5 years now and have loved every minute of it. I grew up right here in Orem, graduating from Mountain View High School and then Utah Valley University. I am a total geek. I love anything science fiction and my biggest obsession is Star Wars. I collect toys as a hobby and love watching movies. I served an LDS mission to France. I am married with 4 children (1 boy and 3 girls) all of whom have names from geek shows and movies! I have been to San Diego Comic Con 3 times and every Salt Lake Comic Con so far so if you go to those say hi to me when you see me!
